Head of Marketing, Automotive
Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• Full-time
• SAR 40,000 to 42,000 per month, plus benefits
You will build brand recognition from a standing start for a portfolio of premium and electric marques entering Saudi Arabia against incumbents with thirty years of equity in the market. The brands are strong products with almost no awareness here. The task is to make them known, considered and desired, in that order, on a timeline set by ambitious volume targets rather than by conventional brand-building patience.
This is the marketing problem of the decade in Gulf automotive, and there is no established playbook for it.
- Own the integrated marketing strategy across brand, performance, retail, CRM, events, PR and partnerships, with a budget you control and defend.
- Lead the go-to-market for new vehicle and brand launches, from positioning through to showroom execution.
- Hold the marketing relationship with the OEM partners, translating global brand architecture into something that works in this market rather than merely complying with it.
- Equip the dealer network to sell brands the customer has not heard of, which is a different discipline from supporting brands they have.
- Build and lead the marketing function, and own the analytics that connect spend to leads to units sold.
- Within your first six months, you will have a positioning platform agreed with both the OEM and regional leadership, and live in market.
- Ten years or more in senior marketing roles with an automotive manufacturer, importer or dealer group.
- Evidence that your work moved share, leads and profit, expressed in numbers rather than adjectives.
- Command of the full integrated stack: brand, digital and performance, CRM, retail, events, PR and sponsorship, with genuine fluency in the analytics beneath them.
- The stakeholder judgement to hold your position with an OEM partner, a dealer network and an executive team whose interests do not always align.
- Fluency in English
A significant advantage: launching a new marque, particularly EV or new mobility, and prior GCC experience. Arabic is a distinct advantage, as is a real understanding of what premium means to a Saudi customer, which is not what it means elsewhere.
Where you will do itYou will report into regional leadership and work alongside the retail operation. The honest constraint is the tension you will live inside: OEM partners who own the global brand and expect adherence, and a local market that will not respond to work made for elsewhere. Managing that tension is the job. Candidates who need consensus before acting will find this uncomfortable.
Whatyou will receive
Base salary of SAR 40,000 to 42,000 per month. Accommodation allowance, company car and private medical cover. Educational allowance towards school fees, and an annual flight ticket for you and your family.
