More about the role:
Burson, a global communications leader within the WPP network, is seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to join our Corporate Communications team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role is central to driving operational excellence and seamless project delivery for our clients. You will be instrumental in end-to-end campaign planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring complex corporate communications initiatives are executed flawlessly, on time, and within scope in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as the primary operational anchor across a portfolio of corporate communications accounts, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of complex communications projects, establishing clear project plans, milestones, and scope guidelines to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional account teams, specialist units, and external vendors to streamline workflows and track project progress.
- Monitor resource allocation and account traffic, anticipating operational bottlenecks, managing risks, and implementing solutions proactively.
- Facilitate structured communication between internal agency teams and client stakeholders, ensuring transparency on project milestones and status updates.
- Support account leaders in budget tracking, financial reporting, and scope management to ensure project profitability.
- Drive operational rigour by establishing standardized project management frameworks, templates, and best practices across account teams.
- Thrive in a high-volume client-servicing environment, efficiently balancing competing priorities and managing multi-channel corporate campaigns.
- Please note that this role may be seconded to a client’s office, depending on business requirements.
Experience that contributes to success:
- Proven track record in project management within a PR, strategic communications, or creative agency environment.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in communications project management or integrated account operations, preferably supporting corporate clients.
- Deep operational understanding of corporate communications, media relations campaigns, content production, and event execution workflows.
- Exceptional organizational and process-driven skills, with mastery of project management tools and methodologies to handle complex, high-volume workloads.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage scope creep, and align diverse stakeholders toward common deadlines.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in resource planning, budget tracking, and third-party vendor management.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
