Veterinarians – Small Animals & Avian

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical surgical and preventive care for small animals avian wildlife and exotic patients within the scope of the assigned specialty Perform thorough clinical examinations establish accurate diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans Manage outpatient consultations inpatient care emergency and critical care cases Perform medical and surgical procedures according to the veterinarian s specialty and hospital clinical protocols Request perform and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging including Digital X-ray Ultrasound CT and other relevant modalities Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment while ensuring best clinical practices Maintain accurate complete and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnosis treatment options prognosis preventive care and follow-up recommendations Collaborate with specialists veterinary technicians nurses and support staff to deliver multidisciplinary patient care Ensure compliance with hospital policies infection prevention protocols biosecurity measures and veterinary ethical standards Participate in clinical rounds case discussions continuing education and quality improvement initiatives Mentor junior veterinarians interns and veterinary support staff when required Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and promote excellence in patient care and client satisfaction Maintain professional competence by staying current with advances in veterinary medicine and specialty practice Perform any additional duties assigned by the Medical Director or Hospital Management that are consistent with the scope of the position.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in Small Animal & Avian practice. Proven expertise in one of the following specialties:
General Small Animal & Avian Practice. Veterinary Cardiology. Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, and CT). Veterinary Ophthalmology. Veterinary Integrative & Rehabilitation Medicine (Ozone Therapy, Acupuncture, Laser Therapy, and Physical Rehabilitation). Avian & Wildlife Medicine. Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills relevant to the area of specialization. Demonstrated ability to manage emergency and critical care cases with sound clinical judgment.

Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced clinical environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Commitment to evidence-based veterinary medicine, patient welfare, and continuous professional development. Proficiency in veterinary practice management software and electronic medical records (EMR). Valid veterinary license or eligibility for professional registration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Fluency in English;

proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
