Senior Engineer - QA​/QC

Job Overview

The Sr. Quality Control Engineer holds responsibility for maintaining updated site activities on a daily basis, recording all quality observations on site. Duties include ensuring contractor compliance with project specifications, managing and evaluating processes, ensuring efficient quality control, supporting the construction team and other quality control specialists, and ensuring all work complies with contract requirements.

• Review and check vendor prequalification’s method statements, inspection test plans (ITP), equipment data, material samples, and/or manufacturer submittals for compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and the project’s quality system.
• Ensure that all applicable specifications and drawings are complied with and report on deficiency corrections on-site.
• Establish and maintain robust procedures to develop standard documentation for the project’s quality control and assurance; center and propose any improvements deemed necessary.
• Conduct inspections and audit plans, and execute regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Implement QA procedures and coordinate QC work with other technical disciplines to ensure safe and seamless management with all trades and activities.
• Coordinate testing and inspection of off‑site material storage and testing.
• Inspect all materials for compliance with submittals and drawings.
• Monitor the performance of all control activities and tests on building components.
• Direct, supervise and coordinate inspection/engineering QC activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems relating to quality control.
• Identify non‑conformances, lead their investigation with the relevant departments, and evaluate contractors’ submitted corrective and preventive action plans.
• Participate in the development of the commissioning plan, roles, and responsibilities; implement the commissioning plan.
• Participate in and conduct quality meetings with contractors, construction teams, and suppliers.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to resolve all construction issues, RFIs, and conflicts.
• Review, assist, and facilitate the daily report process; keep an updated daily report; prepare and submit weekly and monthly quality reports.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various architecture engineering processes and techniques, and coordinate with other departments for technical project activities.

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of production, construction techniques, procedures, codes, and standards across all disciplines. Thorough understanding of ISO 9001, and competent in identification and management of problems and trends through defect analysis and work groups.
• Knowledge of statistical principles and experience conducting statistical analysis.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
