Position Overview

The Quality Engineer will be based in Saudi Arabia and reports to the QA/QC Manager. The role focuses on ensuring smooth production lines, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support QC Manager in developing quality-process links with customers following the Quality Management System (TS16949, ISO
    14001, ISO
    9001, OHAS
    18001), PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, and SQA processes, and oversee continued compliance across the business.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to maximize profit potential and ensure efficiency.
  • Manage the audit program, supplier development and improvement, and play a key role in ensuring project deliveries.
  • Work proactively with all Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Employees to maintain a program of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility.
  • Lead a 'correct at source' and problem-solving methodology (Lean) and work to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.
  • Update quality documentation and communicate lessons learned from quality concerns.
  • Ensure systems and procedures meet external certification bodies and update them as needed.
  • Respond to customer complaints, implementing containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes, and short-term and long-term countermeasures.
  • Champion a program for the implementation and sustainment of a continuous improvement culture.
  • Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures.
  • Undertake internal and process audits of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Manage quality engineers and technicians in sign-off of parts and resolution of internal/external quality concerns.
  • Lead inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish action plans for improving quality.
  • Reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the production area's quality.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and deploy technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects.
  • Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
  • Report on achievement of targets and identify actions required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks.
  • Monitor the completion of tasks, ensure good performance and maintain records on appropriate systems.
People Management

Promote high standards through personal example, monitor task completion, ensure good performance, and maintain records on appropriate systems.

Relationship Management

Work with the management team to share ideas, recommend and implement continuous improvement activities, and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience as a quality engineer.
  • Results-driven approach with a keen eye for detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legal standards and quality control procedures.
  • Good technical and IT skills; working knowledge of SAP or Net Suite is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Certification in quality control is a strong advantage.
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of processes such as fabrication, product assembly, plating, etc.
  • Testing skills based on IEC standards and knowledge of SASO and other international standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP and Net Suite) and integration with other applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Knowledge of risk management, SQA, MIS, RoHS compliance, and KPIs.
  • Command of Arabic language is an advantage.
