Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare concrete with correct surface preparation for coating application using specialized tools such as Captive Blasting, shot blasters, scarifiers, or power washers, following standard profiles and cleanliness standards (SSPC, ASTM).
• Supervise and advise applicators on proper product application and conduct on‑site assessment, inspection, and reporting on painting activities for Decorative and Floor coating products.
• Conduct site‑based inspection and quality control tests, including film thickness checks, adhesion tests, and visual assessments to verify application quality and troubleshoot surface or performance issues.
• Engage with contractors and floor coating applicators to develop and expand a qualified applicator network by training and certifying them as authorized Jotun floor coating applicators.
• Liaise with QC Lab on product troubleshooting to ensure proper recommendations are provided to customers.
• Deliver product training sessions for internal teams and customers to enhance knowledge, skills, and competency in floor coating product application and performance.
• Adhere to Jotun’s HSEQ standards, ensuring consistent PPE usage and safe handling of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Paint Technology (preferred).
• 4‑5 years of relevant experience in Decorative Paint & Floor Coating.
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written); speaking Arabic is an advantage.
• Experience using SSPC and ASTM standards for surface preparation and quality control.
• Strong capability to conduct film thickness and adhesion tests.
• Proactive problem‑solving skills and ability to provide recommendations to customers.
