The Quality Assurance Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for quality programs, inspection activities and management systems. The position requires close collaboration with project management, operations, contractors, vendors and clients to ensure deliverables comply with contractual requirements, applicable standards and organizational expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead quality assurance professionals, inspectors and auditors.
- Provide technical coaching and professional-development support.
- Establish quality responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Develop comprehensive quality assurance programs and procedures.
- Align quality initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Maintain compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Conduct process, product and service inspections.
- Lead quality audits and operational assessments.
- Identify defects, non-conformances and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain records of quality issues and non-conformance notices.
- Develop corrective-action plans and monitor implementation.
- Verify that identified issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
- Analyze test results and quality performance metrics.
- Conduct root-cause analyses for recurring issues.
- Recommend data-driven process improvements.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive measures with relevant teams.
- Work with operations, production and project-management personnel.
- Monitor contractor and vendor quality performance.
- Verify compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
- Prepare detailed quality reports and progress updates.
- Present executive summaries and recommendations to leadership.
- Conduct site visits to verify quality and safety compliance.
- Confirm adherence to approved project specifications.
- Maintain transparent communication with clients.
- Develop and deliver quality-awareness training.
- Establish and maintain quality-management systems.
- Protect the accuracy and traceability of quality records.
- Promote continuous improvement and organizational accountability.
- Bachelor 's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations or a related field.
- Minimum six years of relevant quality assurance or management experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience may be considered.
- Fifteen years of progressive quality experience is preferred.
- Proven experience leading quality assurance teams.
- Strong understanding of quality-management systems.
- Expertise in compliance procedures and controlled documentation.
- Demonstrated root-cause analysis and corrective-action capabilities.
- Knowledge of continuous-improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and evidence-based problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report-writing and presentation abilities.
- Certification as a Quality Manager is advantageous.
- Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean or an equivalent credential is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is beneficial.
- Experience with quality-management and data-analysis software.
- Proven success in process-improvement initiatives.
- Strong client and stakeholder-management capabilities.
