The Quality Assurance Manager - Project Quality role in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is a senior QA Quality Control opportunity focused on quality systems, compliance oversight, inspections, corrective action, and continuous improvement. AECOM is hiring an experienced quality leader to strengthen governance, guide inspection and audit teams, improve contractor performance, and ensure project deliverables meet approved technical and contractual standards.
This position leads the development and operation of quality assurance systems across projects and business activities. The Quality Assurance Manager will establish clear procedures, monitor compliance, investigate non-conformances, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients. The role directly supports delivery reliability, regulatory compliance, client confidence, and operational efficiency. Through structured audits, data analysis, and practical process improvement, the manager will help reduce defects, improve accountability, and strengthen the organization 's overall quality culture.
Key Responsibilities- Lead quality assurance professionals, inspectors, and auditors across assigned projects and operations.
- Establish quality objectives, procedures, inspection plans, audit schedules, and performance measures.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance programs aligned with organizational requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct process, product, service, and project audits to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Review inspection findings, test results, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Record defects, observations, and non-conformances using approved quality management systems.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans and monitor each action through verified closure.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring defects, process failures, and compliance issues.
- Analyze quality indicators and performance data to identify trends and operational risks.
- Work with project management, engineering, operations, and construction teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Verify that preventive controls are implemented before recurring issues affect delivery.
- Monitor vendor, supplier, and contractor quality performance against contractual obligations.
- Review quality submissions, inspection records, certificates, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct site visits and operational reviews to confirm compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.
- Prepare quality reports, executive summaries, dashboards, and client presentations.
- Communicate findings, priorities, and recommendations clearly to project leadership and external stakeholders.
- Develop quality awareness training and technical capability programs for employees and project teams.
- Maintain controlled quality manuals, procedures, records, registers, and audit evidence.
- Support budget planning, resource allocation, and workload management within the quality function.
- Promote consistent quality practices and measurable continuous improvement across the organization.
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor 's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations, or a related discipline. Applicants should have at least six years of relevant quality assurance or quality management experience, with extensive progressive experience preferred for this leadership position. Candidates must demonstrate practical knowledge of quality management systems, inspection and audit procedures, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and continuous improvement methods.
Previous responsibility for leading inspectors, auditors, or quality specialists is essential. Strong written and spoken communication skills are required, together with the ability to present clear findings to clients, contractors, project teams, and senior leaders. Experience managing resources, budgets, stakeholder expectations, and organizational improvement programs will be valuable. Professional credentials such as Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean certification, or an equivalent qualification are preferred.
Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, compliance frameworks, quality software, and analytical tools would strengthen an application.
