The Project

This project offers the chance to join a talented Mace team in delivering a major entertainment and luxury hospitality project, collaborating with renowned architects and global consultants. The project involves extensive infrastructure and built assets, delivered rapidly through a hands-on construction management approach, ideal for those experienced in managing both main and subcontract packages.

As an associate director - quality assurance, you will provide strategic leadership of the quality function across programme, ensuring robust governance, compliance, assurance and continuous improvement processes are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be responsible for driving a culture of quality excellence, providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the successful delivery of quality objectives in alignment with client expectations and business requirements.

You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Direct and develop the quality strategy, governance framework, and assurance programme across complex projects and programmes.
  • Provide visible leadership in promoting a proactive quality culture and driving continuous improvement across all delivery functions.
  • Establish and manage project-wide quality objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, client requirements, company procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of quality management systems in accordance with recognised industry standards.
  • Direct and oversee quality assurance activities across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
  • Manage the performance of contractors, consultants and supply chain partners, ensuring adherence to approved quality processes and standards.
  • Oversee assurance reviews, audits and quality assessments, ensuring findings are effectively managed and closed out.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on quality performance, risks, trends and improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the senior quality representative with clients, stakeholders and project leadership teams.
  • Support project governance boards and senior management reviews through the provision of quality insight and recommendations.
  • Drive lessons learned, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across programmes and the wider business.
  • Supervise the investigation and resolution of significant quality issues, non-conformances and systemic failures.
  • Champion the use of digital quality systems, reporting tools and data analytics to improve performance and decision making.
  • Build, mentor and lead high-performing quality teams, supporting succession planning and capability development.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Relevant degree in engineering, construction management, quality management, or related discipline.
  • Extensive quality leadership experience within complex construction or infrastructure programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality assurance frameworks, audits, and compliance.
  • Professional accreditation preferred, with excellent stakeholder leadership and consultancy experience.

Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
