The Senior Project Quality Specialist will help ensure that mechanical and plumbing works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and project quality procedures. The position provides an important technical control between construction teams, contractors, engineering disciplines, and quality management personnel. The specialist will focus on identifying quality risks before they affect project delivery, verifying workmanship and materials, maintaining traceable inspection records, and supporting timely closure of deficiencies.
Effective quality oversight will contribute to reliable MEP installations, reduced rework, stronger compliance, and successful project completion.
- Support implementation of project quality requirements for mechanical and plumbing works.
- Review construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality plans.
- Conduct inspections of mechanical equipment, piping, plumbing systems, fixtures, and associated installations.
- Verify that materials and equipment used on site match approved technical submittals and project requirements.
- Coordinate inspection activities with construction teams, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans and ensure required quality checkpoints are followed.
- Monitor contractor workmanship and identify deviations from approved construction standards.
- Raise quality observations or non-conformance issues when work does not meet specified requirements.
- Track corrective actions and verify satisfactory closure of identified deficiencies.
- Review method statements, material submissions, inspection requests, and supporting quality documentation.
- Confirm that mechanical and plumbing installations are properly inspected before concealment or progression to subsequent activities.
- Verify piping installation, supports, alignment, jointing, testing, and associated workmanship.
- Review plumbing installations including water supply, drainage, sanitary systems, and related equipment.
- Monitor testing activities and ensure results are accurately documented.
- Support pressure testing, flushing, leakage testing, and other applicable mechanical and plumbing verification activities.
- Coordinate with engineering teams when technical clarifications are required to resolve quality concerns.
- Maintain inspection records, quality logs, test documentation, approvals, and traceable project records.
- Assist with quality audits and contractor compliance reviews.
- Identify recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures to reduce rework.
- Monitor implementation of approved quality procedures throughout construction.
- Participate in project meetings concerning quality performance, technical deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Provide quality input during commissioning, completion, and handover activities.
- Review final inspection documentation and support preparation of mechanical and plumbing closeout records.
- Assist with verification of punch list items and ensure outstanding quality matters are resolved before final acceptance.
- Prepare quality reports and provide management with updates on inspection status, non‑conformances, corrective actions, and emerging risks.
- Promote consistent quality awareness across contractors and site personnel involved in mechanical and plumbing works.
