Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports.

Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company has been appointed to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of a state of the art international airport in the city of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

King Salman International Airport will have a capacity of up to 120 million travellers by 2030 and 185 million travellers by 2050, and the capacity to process up to 3.5 million tons of cargo by 2050. Bechtel will provide PMC services for three new terminals;
Terminal 6 is a new build ‘low cost carrier’ hyper efficient terminal with gross floor area of ≈450,000m2, capacity of 20mppa;
Iconic Terminal is a new build ‘new concept’ terminal with gross floor area of ≈ 1M m2, capacity of 40 to 45 mppa, and Private Aviation Terminal and hangars for VIPs and business jet passengers.

In this role, you will lead the implementation and audit activities of the project quality program. You will support in reviewing the contractors’ QMS related plans, ITPs, Quality Procedures and templates based on the project scope of work. You will review and determine applicable quality requirements, report new or revised regulatory requirements, monitor non-conforming conditions, and determine the sufficiency of corrective actions.

Your recommendations will assist in the resolution of complex issues and mitigate performance risk.

• Provide ‘day to day’ support and advice to the project team regarding the implementation of the project quality requirements / management system arrangements

• Provide input to Project agreed KPIs on a monthly basis.

• Review contractors’ submittals including quality manuals, procedures, Quality Plans, ITPs, and audit schedules.

• Report weekly/monthly progress to Quality Manager.

• Prepares and completes quality audit checklists and participates in quality audits of corporate/project quality program/plans including, as needed, Contractors, pre-award assessments of potential suppliers and subcontractors.

• Assesses and monitors project engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning and other activities related to the quality program/plan.

• Reviews and monitors nonconforming conditions and associated corrective actions to ensure quality program effectiveness.

• Reviews and determines applicable quality requirements for inclusion in selected engineering, procurement, and construction documents.

• Reviews and reports on project associated quality-related procedures and manuals for conformance to project quality program/plan requirements.

• Drafts quality procedures for review, approval, and issuance in accordance with approved processes.
