Role Context The Health and Safety Officer will provide day-to-day oversight of workplace safety controls while helping teams integrate safe practices into normal operations. Rather than responding only after an incident occurs, the position emphasizes early identification of hazards, practical risk reduction, and consistent application of approved HSE procedures. The role will connect site observations with measurable safety improvement. Inspection findings, incident trends, near-miss information, and compliance data will be analyzed to determine where additional controls, training, or management action is required.

Regular engagement with employees, supervisors, department leaders, auditors, and regulatory representatives will also be important. By maintaining reliable records and communicating safety expectations clearly, the officer will help strengthen compliance, audit readiness, and organizational safety culture.

• Develop and maintain workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and operational controls.
• Apply Saudi Arabian occupational safety requirements and relevant labor regulations to workplace activities.
• Support alignment with ISO 45001, OSHA principles, and other applicable international safety practices.
• Conduct routine workplace and site safety inspections.
• Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, equipment issues, and emerging operational hazards.
• Perform structured hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Recommend practical control measures according to identified risk levels.
• Track corrective actions and verify that safety deficiencies are properly closed.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events to determine underlying causes.
• Document investigation findings clearly and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of preventive actions.
• Organize health and safety induction programs for new employees.
• Deliver targeted safety training based on workplace risks and operational requirements.
• Reinforce employee understanding of procedures, emergency requirements, and safe working practices.
• Monitor workplace equipment and operating conditions for compliance with established safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, risk assessments, incidents, training, and corrective actions.
• Prepare documentation required for internal reviews, regulatory inspections, and external audits.
• Analyze safety information to identify recurring hazards and performance trends.
• Develop safety statistics, metrics, and management reports.
• Present significant HSE findings and performance information to management.
• Work with department heads to embed safety responsibilities into daily operations.
• Coordinate with project and operational teams when safety controls affect work planning.
