Accurate documentation and disciplined follow-up are central to the position. Inspection findings must be converted into clear corrective actions, communicated to responsible stakeholders, and tracked until safety deficiencies are appropriately resolved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed fire and life safety inspections across commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
  • Verify compliance with applicable fire safety codes and life safety requirements.
  • Inspect fire suppression systems for proper installation and operational readiness.
  • Review sprinkler systems, extinguishing equipment, and associated fire protection components.
  • Inspect fire alarm systems and verify appropriate functionality.
  • Assess emergency exits, escape routes, and means of egress.
  • Confirm that exit pathways remain accessible, adequately identified, and suitable for occupancy requirements.
  • Evaluate emergency lighting and related life safety provisions.
  • Inspect other emergency equipment required for building safety.
  • Review building layouts as part of fire and evacuation risk assessments.
  • Analyze occupancy classifications and their associated safety requirements.
  • Consider structural and architectural conditions that may influence fire or life safety performance.
  • Conduct systematic hazard identification during inspections.
  • Identify fire code violations and unsafe conditions.
  • Evaluate the severity and potential consequences of observed deficiencies.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports supported by clear technical observations.
  • Record photographs, measurements, and supporting evidence where appropriate.
  • Maintain consistent documentation of inspection findings.
  • Communicate violations and hazards to facility managers, property representatives, and responsible stakeholders.
  • Recommend technically appropriate corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
  • Explain required improvements clearly to contractors and building representatives.
  • Monitor remediation activities to confirm that corrective measures are completed.
  • Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve outstanding safety concerns.
  • Maintain records of inspections, permits, approvals, and compliance documentation.
  • Organize inspection information for future audits and regulatory review.
  • Support preparation of formal reports for management and relevant authorities.
  • Present significant fire and life safety findings to project leadership.
  • Respond to reported complaints involving fire safety or life safety conditions.
  • Investigate reported concerns and determine whether further corrective action is necessary.
  • Provide practical guidance on fire prevention and life safety management.
  • Review fire protection arrangements against project and regulatory requirements.
