The Electrical Inspector will provide independent site-based verification that electrical systems are installed and tested in accordance with approved designs, Saudi Building Code requirements, SASO standards, project specifications, and recognized international safety practices. The role directly supports construction quality by identifying defects, unsafe conditions, and code violations before they affect commissioning, handover, or long-term system reliability. Clear inspection records and timely corrective actions will help reduce rework, protect project schedules, and strengthen regulatory compliance.
Close coordination with engineers, contractors, project managers, and site teams is essential. The inspector will translate technical findings into practical actions while maintaining accurate documentation that supports audits, approvals, and final project acceptance.
- Inspect electrical installations, equipment, and systems across active construction areas.
- Verify compliance with Saudi Building Code requirements, SASO standards, and applicable electrical regulations.
- Review electrical drawings, plans, specifications, and approved technical submissions before installation.
- Identify design conflicts, implementation risks, or potential compliance issues at an early stage.
- Confirm that electrical installations follow approved drawings and project specifications.
- Perform electrical tests using appropriate diagnostic and measurement equipment.
- Record test results accurately and assess findings against applicable acceptance criteria.
- Prepare professional inspection reports describing observations, deficiencies, and required corrective actions.
- Identify electrical safety hazards and communicate them promptly to responsible site personnel.
- Raise and track non-conformance issues where installations do not satisfy required standards.
- Verify completion and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Supervise contractor electrical work to maintain expected workmanship and safety standards.
- Monitor electricians and site teams for compliance with approved installation procedures.
- Coordinate inspection activities with project engineers, managers, and construction teams.
- Support timely resolution of electrical technical issues affecting project progress.
- Review installed components and equipment for conformity with approved materials and specifications.
- Verify labeling, accessibility, installation quality, and system readiness where applicable.
- Maintain complete records of inspection requests, test results, approvals, and certifications.
- Ensure inspection documentation remains organized and available for regulatory or quality audits.
- Communicate compliance status clearly to project teams and management.
- Provide technically justified recommendations for system improvements or safety enhancements.
- Review electrical interfaces with other building services and construction disciplines.
- Participate in site coordination meetings when electrical inspection issues require multidisciplinary resolution.
- Monitor recurring defects and identify opportunities for preventive improvement.
- Support commissioning and pre-handover verification where electrical inspection input is required.
- Use inspection software and digital documentation tools to manage site records efficiently.
- Maintain awareness of updates to Saudi electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.
