Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Overview
The Field Engineer – Architectural Finishes will be responsible for supervising and monitoring all architectural finishes works during the construction phase to ensure compliance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The role focuses on delivering high-quality interior and exterior finishes while maintaining design intent, functionality, aesthetics, and workmanship standards across large-scale developments.
Construction SupervisionInspect installation of floor finishes, wall finishes, ceilings, cladding systems, decorative elements, and fit-out works. Verify that finishes works are executed in accordance with approved materials, workmanship standards, and construction methodologies. Monitor compliance with approved mock-ups and sample boards during installation activities. Ensure construction activities meet project specifications, hospitality standards, and design requirements. Identify deficiencies and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions by contractors.
TechnicalReview and Coordination
Review architectural shop drawings, material submissions, finish schedules, and technical documentation. Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, interior design, and landscape teams to resolve interface issues. Evaluate contractor technical queries and provide recommendations related to finishing works. Assist in reviewing value engineering proposals and alternative finishing materials while maintaining project standards. Support resolution of site-related challenges affecting architectural finishes and project delivery.
QualityAssurance and Compliance
Ensure architectural finishes works comply with approved quality plans, inspection procedures, and contractual requirements. Monitor implementation of inspection and test plans associated with finishing activities. Identify non-conforming works and verify implementation of corrective and preventive measures. Participate in quality audits, inspections, and compliance reviews related to architectural finishes. Support achievement of project quality objectives and successful completion of handover requirements.
Materials and Finish Quality ControlVerify that all architectural materials and finishes comply with approved specifications and quality requirements. Monitor delivery, storage, handling, and installation of finishing materials to prevent damage and quality issues. Review material samples, mock-ups, and manufacturer certifications prior to installation. Inspect completed works for consistency in appearance, alignment, texture, color, and workmanship. Ensure approved materials are used throughout the project and any substitutions receive proper approvals.
SiteInspection and Progress Monitoring
Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, installation progress, and compliance with approved requirements. Monitor contractor productivity and resource allocation for finishing works. Track progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays or constraints. Verify readiness of completed areas for inspections, snagging, and handover activities. Provide recommendations to improve construction efficiency and quality performance.
Snagging and Handover ManagementParticipate in snagging, de-snagging, and final inspection activities for architectural finishes. Verify completion of punch list items and closure of outstanding defects. Ensure finished areas meet project quality standards and client expectations prior to handover. Coordinate with contractors and consultants during testing, inspections, and final acceptance processes. Support preparation of closeout documentation and handover records.
