Performs technical and managerial laboratory duties as well as basic data analysis in support of a research project and part of a scientific team and trains students.

• Conducts tests and experiments and data collection to support research activities.
• Carries out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies according to established protocols and procedures.
• Performs data analysis using software programs.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments.
• Maintains experimental data and laboratory reports procedures.
• Orders and maintains sufficient laboratory supplies and materials as well as keeps general tidiness and laboratory cleanliness.
• Trains students and trainees in basic laboratory techniques.
• Follows all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
• Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
• Participates in self and others education, training and development as applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor of Science (BSc) or an Associate Degree from an accredited institution in a scientific discipline relevant to the research field is required.

Two (2) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree or four (4) years with an Associate Degree required.

• Evidence of excellent level of technical, managerial, communication and computer skills and accomplishments that need to be described and scored by immediate supervisor in the Scientific Scoring Form.
• Proof of working knowledge in safety measures such as biological, radiological, and/or chemical in form of certificates. If not available, then a letter from the immediate supervisor stating the candidate working knowledge in the relevant field.
