Postdoctoral Positions

Overview

We are seeking a post-doctoral candidate with a general background in chemical-physics, electrochemistry and/or materials science with a PhD in one of these domains. Experience in Li-ion batteries is strongly appreciated. Applicants should have earned their PhD between September 2016 and January 2018. The project focuses on design and synthesis of graphene-based nanocomposite materials and their application in energy storage devices.

• Design and synthesis of novel graphene-based nanocomposite materials for energy storage devices.
• Construction and electrochemical testing of batteries.
• Materials characterization using spectroscopy, microscopy and thermogravimetric methods.

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science with relevant research experience in the stated domains.
• PhD completed between September 2016 and January 2018.
• Background in battery research, electrochemistry and electrochemical methods preferred.
• Experience with materials characterization techniques, especially spectroscopic methods.
• Strong written and oral English skills.
