Role Purpose

The Head Mixologist role is responsible for setting and upholding the highest standards of beverage service through active, hands‑on leadership on the floor. The position provides operational support and guidance to colleagues, ensuring consistency, quality, and excellence in guest experience at all times. The role maintains comprehensive knowledge of the full food and beverage offering, remains current on promotional initiatives, and serves as a subject‑matter expert on menu composition, preparation, and presentation.

When required, the Head Mixologist offers informed, professional guidance to both guests and team members, reinforcing service standards while contributing to a refined and cohesive bar program.

Role Responsibilities
  • Ensures a thorough understanding of the outlet’s concept and food and beverage offerings, confidently communicating these to guests
  • Oversees the preparation and presentation of classic and innovative beverages, including non‑alcoholic drinks, coffee, teas, and specialty blends, in line with established standards
  • Supports training initiatives by assisting managers in coaching colleagues and maintaining updated beverage standards documentation
  • Engages directly with guests when required, offering tailored recommendations and enhancing the overall guest experience
  • Manages guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring timely escalation and resolution in coordination with management
  • Prepares the bar for service by ensuring mise en place, equipment readiness, and product availability to support operational efficiency
  • Monitors inventory levels, conducts daily stock checks, and supports monthly inventory counts to prevent shortages and maintain accuracy
  • Upholds hygiene, safety, and quality standards through proper date labelling, temperature control, FIFO practices, and regular cleaning procedures
  • Operates point‑of‑sale and cashiering systems as required, ensuring accuracy in order processing and financial handling
  • Promotes a collaborative team environment through clear communication, operational support, and a consistent focus on service excellence and guest satisfaction
  • A minimum of 3 years in a Head Barista role in high‑quality high‑volume operations.
  • Knowledgeable in Micros – Adaco – F&B Industry Software Systems.
  • An elevated and energetic Conversationalist, engaging Guests with lively discussions and building a good rapport with them.
