Demi Chef - Pastry

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Demi Chef - Pastry to join our pastry team. The Demi Chef will support the Pastry Chef and Chef de Partie in preparing and producing high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods.

• Assist with the daily operations of the pastry section.
• Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place for production and service.
• Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality.
• Assist with decorating and presenting desserts and pastries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Store ingredients and finished products correctly.
• Monitor stock and inform the Chef de Partie of any shortages.
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef during busy service periods.
• Work as part of the kitchen team and assist with other tasks when required.

• Previous experience in a pastry kitchen or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of pastry and baking techniques.
• Passion for pastry, desserts, and baking.
• Good attention to detail and presentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Culinary or pastry qualification is preferred.
