Position Objective The Assistant Waiter is responsible for preparing the dining hall before service and keeping the area clean, organized, and ready for guests. The role also supports food service by assisting the Captain Waiter with table preparation, meal service, clearing, and other routine restaurant activities.

• Assist with restaurant cleaning before service begins.
• Clean and prepare service utensils before each service period.
• Support the Captain Waiter with restaurant setup.
• Assist with mise en place preparation.
• Transport prepared food from the kitchen to the dining hall.
• Assist the Captain Waiter with placing food plates on guest tables.
• Refill guests ' water glasses during service.
• Change ashtrays when required.
• Clear tables after guests have finished their meals.
• Clean and reset tables as required.
• Transport used plates and glasses to the dishwashing area.
• Follow the Captain Waiter 's instructions during restaurant operations.

The role requires consistent attention to dining area cleanliness and readiness throughout service. Utensils, tables, and service areas should be prepared appropriately so the restaurant team can serve guests efficiently.

Maintain a clean personal appearance and high standards of hygiene while carrying out food service and dining room duties.

The Assistant Waiter works under the guidance of the Captain Waiter and provides practical support throughout preparation and service. Close coordination between the dining room and kitchen helps ensure food reaches guest tables efficiently and used service items are cleared promptly.
