Amazon KSA is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard‑working, and creative candidate to join as a Vendor Manager for the Pet Products category. As a Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for developing and owning the strategy for the Pet Products category hin this role, you will have the opportunity to establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships, manage category profitability, and identify means to improve the customer experience.
We are seeking a seasoned business leader with a broad skill set that demonstrates analytical horsepower, the ability to lead and motivate a team, excellent business judgment, strong vendor management and negotiation skills, deep curiosity to uncover how things work, and a passion for creating a world‑class shopping experience for our customers.
You will work with vendors of all sizes and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels of these organizations. Experience in business analytics, strategic thinking, negotiations, and operations are required.
Key Job Responsibilities- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the category, fostering strong partnerships with vendors and optimizing category performance to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and drive category growth.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and promotional strategies with key pet product vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor and analyze category‑level sales, profitability, and inventory data to implement strategies that improve performance, optimize product selection, and enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams like Merchandising, Marketing, and Supply Chain to align priorities and drive synergies.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that leverage technological advancements and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Pet Products category.
- Scale selection
- Work with Instock to improve availability
- Ensure profitability
- Ensure right speed for customers
- Ensure right promotional strategy
- Drive new projects to improve shopping experience for our SA customers
- Make Amazon Saudi a destination to shop Pet products
- 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
