We are seeking an accomplished Director of Retail – Fashion to lead the retail business across multiple brands and store formats. The role is responsible for driving sales growth, enhancing customer experience, maximizing store productivity, and ensuring the successful execution of retail strategies across all locations.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive fashion retail leadership experience, a strong commercial mindset, and a proven track record of delivering sustainable growth through effective retail management and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Retail Strategy & Business Growth- Develop and implement retail strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and overall retail performance.
- Identify new opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and customer engagement.
- Lead the execution of seasonal trading plans, promotional campaigns, and commercial initiatives.
- Own and deliver retail sales, profitability, and productivity targets.
- Monitor key retail performance indicators and implement action plans to improve results.
- Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and market dynamics to support business decisions.
- Ensure consistent achievement of sales budgets across all stores.
- Oversee the performance of all retail stores and regional management teams.
- Ensure operational consistency and adherence to brand standards across all locations.
- Drive store productivity, conversion rates, average transaction value, and customer retention.
- Support store openings, relocations, renovations, and expansion projects.
- Champion a customer-centric culture throughout the retail organization.
- Ensure exceptional service standards and brand presentation across all stores.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement initiatives to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to strengthen brand awareness and customer engagement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop regional managers, area managers, and store leadership teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results.
- Support talent management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Ensure workforce planning aligns with business growth requirements.
- Partner closely with merchandising and buying teams to optimize product assortment and availability.
- Ensure effective execution of visual merchandising standards and promotional activities.
- Monitor stock performance and support inventory optimization initiatives.
- Manage retail budgets and ensure effective cost control measures.
- Monitor store profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and retail governance standards.
- Present regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in retail management, including at least 5 years in a senior retail leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale fashion retail operations and multi-store networks.
- Strong understanding of fashion retail trends, customer behavior, merchandising, and commercial performance management.
