Role Context

The Area Brand Trainer
- Retail Performance will support consistent brand execution across several stores by developing the knowledge, confidence, and service capability of frontline retail teams. The position combines classroom-style learning, in-store coaching, product education, onboarding, KPI analysis, and performance follow-up. Training activities will be closely linked to commercial outcomes. By identifying performance gaps and creating targeted learning interventions, the trainer will help stores strengthen customer engagement, selling techniques, product knowledge, and achievement of sales objectives.

The role will also support future leadership development by identifying high-potential employees and contributing to structured succession plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver regular brand-specific training sessions across assigned retail locations.
  • Conduct practical in-store learning focused on customer service, sales techniques, product knowledge, and brand standards.
  • Facilitate onboarding programs for new employees entering the brand or store network.
  • Organize refresher training for existing employees to reinforce key skills and operational expectations.
  • Ensure training materials and delivery remain aligned with current brand standards and commercial priorities.
  • Monitor individual and store KPIs to identify capability gaps and development requirements.
  • Translate performance data into targeted training plans that address specific sales or service weaknesses.
  • Customize coaching and learning activities according to store and employee performance.
  • Follow up with teams after training to confirm learning is being applied during customer interactions.
  • Provide constructive coaching and feedback to reinforce expected selling and service behaviors.
  • Maintain current knowledge of new product launches, seasonal collections, features, and key selling points.
  • Prepare store employees to communicate product benefits confidently and accurately.
  • Strengthen selling capability by coaching teams on product recommendations, customer engagement, and sales conversion.
  • Reinforce brand culture and ensure employees represent the brand consistently and professionally.
  • Work closely with store managers to understand local performance challenges and training priorities.
  • Identify high-potential employees who may be suitable for future supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Support individual development plans for selected employees as part of succession planning.
  • Track employee progress and provide developmental feedback to store management.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records for completed training sessions.
  • Prepare regular reports covering training delivery, participation, performance improvement, and learning outcomes.
  • Share relevant performance insights with Area Managers and the Brand Training Manager.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust future sessions where results indicate further development is required.
  • Coordinate training schedules across multiple stores while minimizing disruption to daily retail operations.
  • Maintain effective communication with store leadership and regional management regarding training priorities and outcomes.
Ideal Profile

Candidates should hold a Bachelor 's degree in Business, Retail, or a related discipline. The position requires approximately 2-3 years of experience in retail training, brand training, learning and development, or a comparable role supporting customer-facing teams. Experience working across several store locations is particularly relevant.
