To drive sales of products through proactive engagement and relationship management, serving as the primary point of contact for customers. The Sales Representative is responsible for ensuring that customer needs and expectations are met throughout the purchasing process, efficiently and effectively. This role encompasses the management of consignment stock, executing store visits, maintaining strong relationships with store category managers, and ensuring compliance with visibility and availability standards.
The Sales Representative will also manage stock levels of the store, achieve sales targets, and oversee collection follow-ups to optimize overall performance.
ACCOUNTABILITIES Day-to-day operations
- Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
- Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors in compliance with the agreed route plan.
- Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensure appropriate product display at the customer’s store and report to the supervisor when necessary.
- Note lack of varieties in the customer’s store and provide the needed items.
- Ensure promotional material is set at the customer’s store.
- Review invoices with the customer.
- Provide the customer’s report of visits to the sales supervisor and hand over next day’s details.
- Follow up with customer to gauge satisfaction.
- Report to the Branch supervisor the sales reports which include the most successful visits, sales and collections, the distribution volume and notes of the area. Offer suggestions to the department concerning market updates, competition or company products.
- Prepare all reports timely and accurately in accordance with Americana Protein policies and requirements.
- High school education or above.
- 1-3 years relevant experience.
