Baazeem Trading Company is seeking a commercially driven Category Manager to lead the growth and performance of assigned product categories within the Saudi market. This role focuses on category sales development, market expansion, profitability, promotional planning, and commercial execution.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement category growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Own category sales targets, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Develop annual category plans, promotional calendars, pricing recommendations, and growth initiatives.
- Partner with Sales, Key Accounts, Traditional Trade, Modern Trade, and E-Commerce teams to achieve category goals.
- Monitor category performance through sales, margins, distribution, and market KPIs; identify assortment gaps and recommend actions to improve performance.
- Lead product launch plans and support go-to-market execution.
- Conduct regular business reviews and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with Trade Marketing to ensure effective execution of promotions and category initiatives.
- Support forecasting, sales planning, and commercial decision-making through data analysis and market insights.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG Category Management, Trade Marketing.
- Strong understanding of the Saudi FMCG market.
- Proven track record in driving category growth and achieving commercial objectives.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
- Previous experience with FMCG distributors, food, confectionery, snacks, or consumer goods companies.
- Experience working with major retail chains, modern trade accounts, and key customers within Saudi Arabia.
- Background in managing category performance, promotions, pricing, and sales development.
