Overview

The Hotel Security Manager oversees all security operations within the hotel to ensure the safety and protection of guests, staff, and property. The role involves implementing security measures, managing security personnel, and responding to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.

• Develop and implement security plans, policies, and procedures to safeguard the hotel premises, assets, and individuals.
• Conduct regular security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend security enhancements.
• Recruit, train, and supervise security officers, guards, and personnel to ensure a high level of professionalism and competence.
• Schedule shifts, assign duties, and provide ongoing training to security staff.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms.
• Monitor surveillance footage, investigate incidents, and take appropriate actions to address breaches or threats.
• Develop and communicate emergency response protocols for scenarios such as fire outbreaks, medical emergencies, and security incidents.
• Coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and hotel management during crisis situations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to security and safety.
• Conduct regular security audits, reviews, and training sessions to maintain a high level of preparedness.
• Document security incidents, investigations, and corrective actions in detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate records for legal compliance and internal review purposes.
• Promote sustainable practices by exploring new technology, reducing waste, saving energy, and using resources efficiently.

Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field.

• Previous experience in security management, ideally within the hospitality or hotel industry.
• Certification in security management or relevant training (e.g., Certified Lodging Security Director).
• Knowledge of security systems, procedures, and best practices in hotel security.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, make quick decisions, and respond effectively.
