Responsibilities
- Ensure adequate focus on personal professional growth and taking on more challenging assignments in line with standard audit career progression.
- Proactively seek relevant education and training opportunities.
- Collaborate with clients from Capital Projects, Construction, Real Estate, or Infrastructure backgrounds to assess their current GRC practices and develop strategies for improvement.
- Assist clients in developing and maintaining risk registers to track and prioritize risks across the organization.
- Conduct GRC assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes related to GRC.
- Assist in preparing client presentations and proposals for different target audiences, including CXOs, Board of Directors, and Audit Committees.
- Manage performance of audit and GRC procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
- Demonstrate technical competence in related domain.
- One or more relevant professional degree/certifications in GRC (e.g., MBA, CIA, CISA, CISSP).
- Prior audit/GRC consulting experience with Big 4 or strategy firms having Capital Projects from Real Estate, Construction, or Infrastructure sectors.
- Overall, 4+ years of relevant full‑time work experience, preferably from consulting.
- Ability to observe and understand business processes, ensuring processes are documented completely and accurately.
- Ability to apply audit and GRC standards through practical application.
- Reliability.
- Possess an appropriate combination of technical expertise in fields such as auditing, finance, technology, operations, or investigations.
- Ability to flourish in a fast‑paced, complex environment and be willing to adapt to change.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and ensure successful results.
- Ability to give and follow instructions accurately and efficiently, and proactive in asking clarifying questions to ensure work effort is directed wholly toward desired outcome.
- Ability to recognize when learned theoretical concepts should be applied.
- Solid understanding and ability to apply GRC concepts.
- Ability to identify the underlying cause of an issue raised.
- Good awareness of other departments in the company with risk, control, and governance responsibilities and what is necessary for successful tactical collaboration and information sharing.
- Good communication skills along with good or developing negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a proactive manner to avoid surprises.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges.
- Executes effective and thorough application of all internal audit standards within assigned responsibility.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Demonstrate a positive, can‑do attitude.
