Senior Back End Engineer

A Silicon Valley–based AI product company is expanding its core engineering team in Riyadh.

They build and deploy mission-critical AI platforms that run in highly secure, on-prem and hybrid environments. This role is not consulting and not project-based; you will be part of the core product team
, owning backend systems that power real deployments at scale.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services that support AI platforms and large-scale deployments
• Develop production-grade APIs using Node.js and/or Python
• Work with Redis, Mongo
  
  DB, and other data stores to build high-performance systems
• Collaborate closely with MLOps and Platform teams on deployment, scaling, and reliability
• Support on-prem and cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines)
• Take ownership of backend architecture, code quality, and long-term maintainability

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and/or Python
• Solid experience designing and maintaining REST APIs
• Experience with Redis and MongoDB (or equivalent No

• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and containerized systems
• Experience working with Kubernetes / Docker in production
• Comfortable working on-site in Riyadh

• Experience working in AI, ML, or data-intensive platforms
• Exposure to on-prem deployments or regulated / secure environments
• Experience with React / frontend collaboration (not a frontend role)
• Arabic language skills (not mandatory)
• Background in platform, infrastructure, or product-led companies
