About Us
At Mirai - a Scopely Studio, we believe high-quality software is about partnership, advocacy, and deep respect for our colleagues. The best engineers augment their technical ability with listening first, asking thoughtful questions, and influencing through clarity, not volume. If that’s you, you’re going to thrive here and learn a ton!
With world‑class games like Monopoly Go, PokémonGo, Marvel Strike Force, and Star Trek F.C., we’re full of trendsetters solving interesting problems on a scale no other gaming company has. We’re game‑changing (literally), and intentional about building a great place to be.
About the jobWe’re hiring a Senior Software / Platform Engineer to build secure, reliable “paved roads” for both AI Engineers & agentic AI systems (LLM apps, agents, and MCP‑based integrations).
You’ll design and ship guardrails that make the safe path the easiest path – so teams can move fast without increasing blast radius. We’re targeting solid generalist software / SRE engineers.
This is a hands‑on builder role with a heavy focus on Security & Reliability, suitable for:
- Backend / Full‑stack Software Engineers with Dev Ex experience building internal tooling
- AI security software engineers
- Site Reliability Engineers
- Platform Engineers
- Dev Sec Ops Engineers (who shipped code!)
Adjacent tooling is acceptable as long as there’s a proven, verifiable track record of delivering production platforms
- Experience in Golang / Go or Typescript, plus Python
- Test‑Driven Development
- Serverless, Containerization (Docker), Kubernetes & Git Ops deployment patterns
- AWS IAM & infrastructure services
- Infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform or Pulumi)
- CI/CD (Git Hub Actions)
- Observability & Tracing
- Nice to have:
Lang Chain, Llama Index, and LiteLLm
- Design and build platform capabilities that enable safe, scalable adoption of AI systems across the organization.
- Develop secure‑by‑default platform components (APIs, services, and guardrails) that abstract security complexity and allow engineering teams to move quickly.
- Establish evaluation and safety gates in delivery workflows, including regression checks, model provenance validation, safety testing, and reliability improvements over time.
- Identify weaknesses in architectures and implement improvements that strengthen prevention, detection, and response capabilities across the AI stack.
- Partner with GenAI engineers and cross‑functional teams to unify security guardrails, telemetry, and developer experience into coherent “golden paths”.
- Integrate with enterprise identity systems (SSO, SCIM) and design authorization frameworks combining ABAC and ReBAC for agentic and service‑to‑service access.
- 5+ years of software/platform engineering experience shipping internal tooling, developer portal, or developer productivity systems.
- Strong software engineering & System Design experience, with architecture instincts beyond just coding.
- Familiarity with reliability patterns (e.g., observability, rollbacks, Git Ops, incident mgmt) and secure‑by‑design thinking.
- Strong sense of initiative and interest in AI is essential; you’ll be delivering & championing secure AI adoption across a global leader in Mobile Gaming, supporting titles like Pokémon Go!, Monopoly Go!, and Marvel Strike Force.
- Strong candidates are encouraged to apply even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
- Experienced with Data Intensive Applications & middleware/message brokers.
- Experience with AI agent runtimes/tool calling LLMs / MCP‑style connectors, sandboxing, or isolation patterns.
- Experience with policy‑as‑code (OPA/Gatekeeper/Kyverno) and developer platform patterns.
- Familiarity with AI security, OWASP, threat modeling, Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S‑SDLC), and adversarial simulations for artificial intelligence systems.
- Experience with distributed system design, microservices, scalability, caching, messaging, or MLOps & Data Engineering.
