CTO​/Head of Engineering; Founding

Type: Part-Time transitioning to Full-Time (upon Seed round closure)

Sanam is an AI-native travel platform designed to make Saudi Arabia's tourism experiences bookable globally. With a working product already live and strong investor momentum behind our active Seed round, we are building the foundational technology to scale Saudi travel to the world.

As our Founding CTO / Head of Engineering, you will take full ownership of Sanam's technical vision and lead engineering from the ground up. You will take our working MVP to Sanam Platform 1.0, re-architecting and hardening the system for global scale. This is a founding-level role: starting on a part-time basis and transitioning to full-time as we close our current funding round.

• Technical Roadmap & Strategy: Translate the product vision into an actionable technical roadmap and drive execution to ship features rapidly.
• Architecture & Scalability: Re-architect, refactor, and harden our existing codebase for production scale, working closely with the product team.
• Team Leadership & Hiring: Recruited, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team of 2-4 engineers (in-house and offshore).
• Engineering Excellence: Define and enforce engineering standards across code quality, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
• Hands-on Execution: Serve as the primary architect and lead developer, maintaining active contributions to the codebase while managing team outputs.

• Proven track record as a Senior or Principal Engineer who has successfully built, launched, and scaled production platforms from early stages.
• Ability to balance strategic technical leadership with active, hands-on coding and implementation.
• Strong decision-making skills and comfort working in high-velocity, fast-changing startup environments.
• Preferred Experience: Prior exposure to travel tech platforms, multi-sided marketplaces, or payment processing integrations.
