Salt is supporting a leading global technology consultancy in the recruitment of an experienced Service Now Senior Developer to work on complex enterprise implementations, enhancements and transformation programmes. We are looking for a technically strong, hands‑on developer with broad Service Now platform knowledge and the ability to design, develop and deliver scalable solutions across multiple modules. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, business analysts and customer stakeholders to deliver high-quality Service Now solutions aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and implement scalable Service Now applications and platform enhancements.
- Build and customise solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD and custom applications.
- Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions and Flow Designer automations.
- Build and maintain Service Catalog items, workflows and portal functionality.
- Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub.
- Support CMDB, Discovery, Asset Management and related platform capabilities.
- Develop and maintain Scoped Applications.
- Participate in technical design reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex platform issues and provide technical solutions.
- Support deployments, upgrades, testing and production environments.
- Collaborate with technical architects, business analysts and enterprise customers.
- 8-12+ years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Service Now development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Service Now ITSM, Service Catalog, CMDB, Discovery and Asset Management.
- Advanced JavaScript and Service Now scripting capabilities.
- Strong experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes and Flow Designer.
- Experience with Integration Hub and Scoped Applications.
- Hands‑on REST/SOAP integration development.
- Knowledge of MID Servers, LDAP, SSO and third‑party integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD).
