Job Description Overview
The Operations Expert is responsible for overseeing the commercial and operational phases of the metro system during the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) period, ensuring that all contractor activities meet contractual requirements and service standards.
This role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality passenger services, conducting regular inspections of stations and depots, supporting Operations Managers, and responding to incidents, accidents, and emergencies 24/7.
Your role- Oversee O&M contractors’ operational activities to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Monitor commercial and service delivery performance across metro operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of stations, depots, and operational facilities.
- Ensure delivery of safe, efficient, and high‑quality passenger services.
- Verify adherence to operational standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support Operations Managers in daily operational activities and decision‑making.
- Respond to incidents, accidents, and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide 24/7 operational support during critical events and disruptions.
- Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor service reliability and implement improvements where required.
- Maintain documentation and reporting of inspections, incidents, and operational performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of technical and managerial experience in operations.
- Experience in metro, railway, or transportation systems.
- Strong understanding of O&M activities and service delivery standards.
- Experience in station and depot operations and inspections.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response management.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure operational environment.
