Facilitate the seamless execution of logistics operations by implementing efficient transportation plans based on SABIL’ central and operational plans. Collaborate closely with transportation companies to implement efficient transportation plans derived from operational strategies, contributing to cost‑effectiveness while ensuring adherence to quality standards. Maintain smooth communication channels and facilitate the execution of centrally planned logistics operations.

KEY

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES Transportation Planning and Implementation
  • Assist in coordinating with external transportation companies to implement transportation plans aligned with operational strategies.
  • Communicate schedules and adjustments to logistics partners and clusters, ensuring alignment with overall operational goals.
  • Maintain communication channels with external transportation companies to facilitate the smooth execution of logistics operations.
  • Participate in the tendering and evaluation process with external transportation companies under the oversight of the General Procurement department to negotiate favourable terms to achieve cost‑effective logistics operations aligned with overarching operational plans.
Fleet Management
  • Oversee the utilization, availability, and allocation of fleet resources to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Monitor fleet performance, and fleet records.
  • Monitor fleet tracking systems to enhance visibility and operational control.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize fleet size, structure, and utilization to reduce operational costs.
Transportation Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Assist in monitoring transportation service quality provided by external companies, coordinating closely with the General Procurement department to ensure alignment with established standards.
  • Ensure adherence to transportation regulations, safety protocols, and legal requirements to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Aid in maintaining accurate records and reports related to transportation activities, identifying and mitigating risks associated with transportation operations.
  • Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining service quality standards.
  • Participate in regular audits of transportation processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Participate in the definition of robust contingency plans to address unforeseen disruptions or emergencies in transportation services and minimize potential impacts on operations.
  • Assist in evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation operations, such as on‑time delivery rates and cost per mile, to measure performance and drive operational improvements.
  • Contribute to fostering a culture of safety and accountability within the transportation department, promoting adherence to safety standards and protocols at all times.
Internal and External Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support building strong relationships with external transportation companies to ensure collaboration and long‑term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams and operation department branches to develop comprehensive transportation strategies.
  • Assist in implementing communication channels and protocols to ensure seamless coordination among relevant teams.
  • Participate in organizing workshops for stakeholders to promote understanding of transportation processes and best practices.
Continuous Improvement and Cost Efficiency
  • Assist in evaluating transportation processes to identify inefficiencies and streamline operations for improved effectiveness.
  • Participate in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to transportation operations, tracking metrics such as delivery times and customer satisfaction.
  • Support collaboration with finance and general procurement teams to develop transportation budgets prioritizing efficiency and cost savings.
  • Participate in data‑driven decision‑making processes to inform strategic transportation planning and resource allocation.
  • Regularly review and refine transportation budgets and spending plans in response to changing market conditions, business requirements, and cost‑saving opportunities.
Qualifications / Requirements Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Expert with SAP or Oracle.
  • Expert with TMS system.
  • Have experience in managing transportation operations 3PL Mandatory.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, communication, or any other related field.

Equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Diploma’s degree in supply chain, logistics, communication, or any other related field (should be at least two years).
