About the RoleWe are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Cargo Operations team in Riyadh, KSA as Cargo Freighter Operations Officer. In this role, you will be supervising the freighter operations team and to ensure smooth running of cargo operational functions relating to freighter operations. Responsible for smooth cargo operations at the region through close coordination with the GHA’s and staff within the stations.
Continuously monitor and develop adherence to regulations outlined by local authorities and regulatory bodies and ensure strict compliance to IATA regulations for effective movement of inbound and outbound cargo whilst reducing operation costs involved.
- Ensure smooth running of cargo operational functions relating to freighter operations.
- Ensure all ULDs are built safely and GHA is aware of QR standards and adhering to them. Personal oversight of all freighter pallets must be enforced on all freighter flights.
- Ensure smooth interface from Sales to GHA including booking priorities, clear FBL instruction and priorities are given to GHAs, special cargoes are handled correctly, pre-alerts sent.
- Ensure flight load is commercially maximised as a priority. Secondly, is to then ensure no unnecessary mix loading is sent to the hub.
- Understand the operational interface with the hub and ensure problems are resolved prior to departure to the hub.
- Directing staff and GHA to contribute highest level of service standard and optimum utilization of space and available payload by co‑coordinating with Ground Handling Agents and inter departments.
- Maintain the freighter on time performance and ensure no delays occur due to ground operations.
- Implement, establish and monitor standard operating procedures (SOP) and Service level agreements (SLA) with the GHA’s in the region to ensure smooth cargo operations in the region.
- Ensure discrepancies and non‑conformances are minimized in order to reduce claims and penalties at the respective station to increase customer satisfaction and reduce carrier liability.
- Supervise overall cargo operations activities related to passenger flights operating at concerned station.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of airline or airfreight experience.
- Knowledge in air cargo operations is a must.
- Knowledge in dangerous goods, live animal regulations and perishable cargo.
- Very good command of written and spoken English.
