Position: Shipping Cordinator ( Analyst I ) • Logistics

Shipment Coordination & Tracking

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor all inbound shipments (air, ocean & courier) to ensure timely arrival.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm pickup dates, shipping documents, and compliance with routing guides.
  • Track shipments in transit, proactively identifying delays and implementing recovery plans.
  • Manage import/export documentation (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
Supplier & Carrier Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding logistics execution.
  • Evaluate carrier performance (on-time pickup/delivery, damage rates, invoicing accuracy) and provide feedback.
  • Resolve shipment discrepancies, damages, or short shipments with carriers and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams on dock scheduling, receiving capacity, and priority unloading.
Compliance & Cost Optimization
  • Ensure all inbound shipments comply with international trade regulations (customs, tariffs, denied party screening).
  • Work with customs brokers to classify products (HS codes) and clear shipments efficiently.
  • Analyze freight spend, identify cost‑saving opportunities (e.g., consolidation, mode shifting), and report KPIs.
  • Manage claims for lost or damaged freight.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce lead times, lower costs, and increase visibility.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for recurring logistics issues.
  • Stay current on logistics technology, regulations, and market trends.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations, specifically focused on inbound movements.
  • Experience with international shipping (import/export) and domestic LTL/FTL.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms 2020, customs documentation, and hazardous materials (hazmat) regulations is desirable.
Soft Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making under time pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for cross‑functional and supplier‑facing interactions.
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
