Job Description

Parsons are seeking a proactive and well‑organised Logistic Engineer - Saudi National to manage and coordinate site logistics for a large‑scale airfield/airport development project. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of experience in construction logistics, with exposure to complex infrastructure or aviation projects. The Logistic Engineer will be responsible for planning and optimizing the movement of materials, equipment, and workforce across the site, ensuring efficient operations, minimal disruption, and alignment with project schedules and safety requirements.

What

You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and implement detailed site logistics plans, including access routes, laydown areas, storage facilities, and material flow strategies.
  • Coordinate logistics activities across multiple contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of site space, especially in constrained or airside environments.
  • Plan and monitor the delivery, storage, and distribution of construction materials and equipment.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials in line with construction schedules and work fronts.
  • Track material movements and maintain accurate inventory and logistics records.
  • Develop and manage traffic management plans to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and personnel on site.
  • Coordinate site access, gate control, and security requirements in line with airport regulations.
  • Minimise disruptions to ongoing airport operations (if applicable) through effective logistics planning.
  • Collaborate closely with construction, planning, and project controls teams to align logistics activities with project schedules.
  • Support look‑ahead planning and identify potential logistics constraints impacting construction progress.
  • Provide input into sequencing and phasing strategies from a logistics perspective.
  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with HSE requirements, including safe material handling, lifting operations, and traffic safety.
  • Support implementation of site safety procedures and participate in risk assessments related to logistics activities.
  • Promote safe working practices among logistics personnel and contractors.
  • Coordinate the set‑up and management of temporary facilities such as site offices, worker accommodations, storage yards, and utilities.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained, compliant, and aligned with project needs.
  • Optimise layout to improve efficiency and reduce congestion.
  • Prepare logistics reports, dashboards, and updates for project management.
  • Maintain documentation related to deliveries, permits, access records, and logistics plans.
  • Track logistics KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with airport authorities, local authorities, contractors, and suppliers on logistics and access‑related matters.
  • Coordinate permits, approvals, and clearances required for transport and site operations.
  • Resolve logistics‑related issues proactively to avoid delays.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction logistics or site operations.
  • Experience in large‑scale infrastructure or airport/airfield projects is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction site logistics, material management, and site planning.
  • Knowledge of traffic management, lifting operations, and logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with construction sequencing and project scheduling.
  • Good organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with logistics or planning tools is an advantage.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
  • Experience working on airport or airfield projects, including live operational environments.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and airside access requirements.
  • Familiarity with digital tools for logistics planning and tracking.
  • Understanding of HSE requirements related to logistics and site operations.
  • Experience working under FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
