Heavy Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Transport goods safely and efficiently over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.
• Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of the truck, noting and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
• Maintain accurate logbooks of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery schedules, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional courses in logistics or transportation are a plus.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; endorsements for specific vehicle types are desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience driving heavy trucks in a commercial setting, preferably in long‑haul transport.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including hours of service and vehicle maintenance standards.
