Warehouse, Inventory & Asset Custodian Key Responsibilities
1. Receiving Assets & Inventory
- Receive company assets and inventory items, ensuring quantities and specifications match approved purchase orders.
- Record all receiving transactions accurately in the system.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages identified during the receiving process.
- Organize inventory within the warehouse to ensure efficient storage and easy accessibility.
- Ensure all items are stored according to the required storage conditions.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Comply with warehouse safety and security procedures.
- Issue inventory and assets to the Operations team, fulfillment partners, retail stores, and external events as requested.
- Release items only against approved requests.
- Record all issuance transactions accurately in the inventory system or designated records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and notify management when replenishment is required.
- Coordinate order preparation with the warehouse team and issue inventory to the fulfillment/picking team.
- Monitor the availability of packaging materials (cartons, bags, bubble wrap, labels, etc.) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Conduct periodic and annual physical inventory counts.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Investigate inventory variances and prepare the required reports.
- Safeguard company assets and inventory against damage, loss, or misuse.
- Report damaged, expired, or obsolete items promptly.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding lost or damaged company assets.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on inventory movements and asset utilization.
- Report slow-moving, low-stock, damaged, or obsolete inventory.
- Prepare daily operational reports to support warehouse and retail operations.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to monitor inventory effectively and maintain accurate records.
- Strong reporting, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments.
