Locum Assignment - Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Northeastern North Carolina / Urgent Care APP
Join a busy outpatient urgent care clinic in scenic northeastern North Carolina where you’ll manage diverse cases across all ages and keep patient care moving in a high-volume environment. This assignment offers steady 12-hour shifts, supportive onboarding, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a community that truly values access to care.
Why This Assignment- Assignment Dates: January–March (multiple dates available; orientation required the day before first shift)
- Schedule:
Three 12-hour shifts/week
; occasional weekends - Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM - Outpatient urgent care serving patients of all ages
- Patient volume: 35–40/day
- Required procedures:
Suturing, I&Ds, foreign body removal, casting/DME fitting - No call
- EMR:
Epic - Paid travel & expenses:
Full Travel
- Be able to do the job as described
- Nurse Practitioner (MSN/NP-C, FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
with 1+ years of urgent care or ER experience - North Carolina license and DEA required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Comfortable performing urgent care procedures and seeing all ages
