$15.00 to $18.50 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $5.41 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with at least six months of management experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promoting a positive and productive environment, and leading store employees. The role partners with the Store Manager to recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction.

Alongside the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager analyzes store financial statements, ensures financial goals are met, commits to the company’s asset protection program, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisitions. The position involves working with a wide variety of jewelry, general merchandise, and, where applicable, firearms.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and following all procedures to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise reporting.
  • Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain loan value and integrity.
  • Complete assigned training for self‑development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Ability to perform tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated supervisory ability.
  • Experience with firearms and ability to become firearms certified.
  • Comfortable assisting customers outside the building or retrieving items from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work multiple locations, as business needs dictate.
  • Availability for a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work 40+ hours per week (hours are not guaranteed).
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
  • Strong multitasking, detail‑orientation, organizational, analytical, and cash‑handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
