Math Tutor; Math Instructor

Overview

Math Tutor (Math Instructor) at Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center. Part-time position.

Base pay range: $10.50/hr - $14.00/hr

• Teach mathematical concepts to students.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students  varying needs and interests.
• Assist students with math homework.
• Actively encourage, motivate, and engage with students during instructional sessions.
• Grade and correct student assignments to provide feedback.
• Provide positive, constructive feedback using reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, and build confidence.
• Manage students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
• Manage students  time while at the center and maintain student attention.
• Build relationships with students and families to provide exceptional customer service.

• Math proficiency up to Pre-Calculus is required.
• Ability to pass a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to adapt to a versatile environment and handle multiple concurrent assignments.
• Clear and concise communication with team members and management.
• Reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling duties.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Open availability during business hours, including evenings and Sundays.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.

• Sunday to Thursday (Flexible Hours).
• Ability to work during instructional hours 3:00-7:30 pm Monday through Thursday.
