Base pay: $15.00 per hour. Full‑time position.

AHI Supply is seeking a reliable and safety‑minded Steel Shop Machine Operator/Forklift Operator to join our Roanoke team. The role involves operating machinery and forklifts to cut, move, and prepare steel for production while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Operators typically work around 45 hours per week, with potential to earn $37,000+ annually.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (overtime may be required; overtime will be compensated). Weekend or evening work may be requested as needed.

• Operate machinery such as an angle shear, punch press, torch, and bandsaw to cut and process steel.
• Load and move various sizes of steel using a forklift and manual positioning.
• Measure and mark materials accurately using a tape measure.
• Band and strap steel materials as needed.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform general warehouse tasks, including sweeping, trash pickup, pallet wrapping, stocking, and cleaning.

• Experience operating a sit‑down forklift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
• Comfortable bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods (8–10 hours).
• Able to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn production equipment.
• Team‑oriented attitude with solid communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to OSHA and environmental safety standards.
