SP Supervisor

Salary Range: $63,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

Summary:

Directs and coordinates activities in the ISDT (In Store Design Team) department, also known as Special Pack.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

45% - Supervisory Duties:

• Trains personnel on an ongoing basis. Verifies that training is completed via LMS.
• Answers employee and agency associate questions and provides direction.
• Identifies skillset gaps; initiates and motivates plans for improvement.
• Provides coaching to UF and agency associates who are unable to meet production standards and advises on-site agency manager if further action is needed.
• Addresses errors with the employee so correction can be made.
• Verifies timekeeping daily hours in Unify and Stellar Pack.

30% - Operational Duties:

• Coordinates schedule with the Special Pack planner on a daily basis. Assigns and reviews work, updating procedures, resolving issues, etc.
• Prepares schedules and coordinates activities to ensure production and quality meets specifications.
• Reviews orders to verify correct quantity and product; makes corrections as needed.
• Oversees raw materials spreadsheet to ensure quantity is correct.
• Directs pre-staging of product and materials for timely line start-up to maximize productivity.
• Adjusts schedule based on customer need and/or product availability.
• Rotates assignments so cross-training is completed and sustained.
• Orders daily labor to ensure there is adequate manpower in the Special Pack Department.
• Utilizes space, lines, automation/robotics, and equipment efficiently in order to improve productivity.
• Checks build product for accuracy using specifications.
• Ensures KPIs are met or exceeded using current software systems.
• Completes the DMS board daily noting sanitation of department, errors, injuries, etc.
• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
• Inspects machines and equipment for operational performance and optimum utilization.

15% - Communication Duties:

• Communicates internally with United Facilities employees and Corporate Office leadership.
• Communicates daily with other 3PL provider to enable efficient product flow, address needs and issues, and ensure building and employee safety.
• Communicates pertinent productivity data, customer service needs, employee issues, safety, and maintenance needs to UF management in a timely manner.
• Communicates regularly with Agency Floor Supervisor to provide an appropriate amount of training, direction, encouragement, and motivation for maximized performance.
• Aligns team members by communicating a common vision, relaying incremental milestone targets, and celebrating victories along the way.
• Helps new employees and associates integrate into the culture.
• Maintains composure in difficult situations and encourages others to do so.
• Plans and delivers daily start-up meetings.

• Follows and enforces safety rules and procedures including proper use of PPE, handling of chemicals, and timely reporting of cell phone violations, accidents, incidents, safety concerns. Participates in YY’s to determine root cause.
• Follows food safety processes and guidelines including but not limited to good manufacturing practices, receiving and shipping requirements, glass and wood inspections, cleaning and sanitation schedules, holds and traceability requirements, pest control requirements, food safety audits, and corrective actions. Any identifiable food safety issues should be reported to UF Management immediately.
• Conducts monthly safety meetings; completes and documents meeting session.
• Confirms work areas are clean and free from hazards.
