Our client is seeking a competent and experienced Project Manager to manage diverse Construction Projects in East London . This role is crucial for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating resources, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled project manager to contribute to significant construction endeavors in the Eastern Cape, working within a reputable organization.
- Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
- Develop detailed project plans, cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee site operations, manage construction teams and subcontractors, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Implement and enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols on all project sites.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline;
Professional registration (e.g., Pr Eng, Pr CPM) is a strong advantage. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on managing building and construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working on projects in East London or the surrounding Eastern Cape region.
