Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our established dental practice. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong clinical background, excellent chairside skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position requires prior dental assisting experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Take and process dental radiographs as needed.
- Assist with impressions, temporary restorations, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.
- Accurately document treatment notes and maintain patient records.
- Maintain operatory cleanliness and ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA regulations.
- Manage clinical supplies, including inventory control and ordering.
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience.
- Current Dental Assistant certification and radiology certification (as required by state regulations).
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology.
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization standards.
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
