Neurocritical Care Physician

Carilion Clinic, a leading not-for-profit health care organization serving over 1 million people in Virginia and surrounding states, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurocritical Care Physician to join our growing and dynamic Neurocritical Care team in Roanoke, VA. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary, academic team delivering state-of-the-art care in a dedicated 20-bed Neuro ICU within Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital—a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients
• Collaborate closely with neurology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, and critical care teams
• Participate in resident and medical student education through Carilion’s affiliation with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
• Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of neurocritical care services at Carilion Clinic

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Neurocritical care fellowship trained from a UCNS/ACGME accredited fellowship program.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurocritical Care (UCNS or ABPN pathway preferred)
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Commitment to academic excellence and teaching
