Neonatal - Perinatal Medicine Physician

Join a dedicated team of professionals in Roanoke, Virginia as a full-time Neonatologist, serving as either the NICU Medical Director or Associate Medical Director at a regional perinatal center. Experience advanced neonatology medicine while enjoying the charm of a vibrant small-town lifestyle in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.

• Provide expert neonatal care at the regional perinatal center and Level 2 NICU.
• Manage and lead NICU operations, ensuring high-quality clinical care and operational excellence.
• Oversee advanced NICU services including high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling, and nitric oxide therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialists.
• Support medical education by working with Virginia Tech School of Medicine students and residents.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and research projects within the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative.
• Provide clinical coverage including day shifts, on-call, and weekend duties as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in leadership meetings and committees.

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology (required).
• Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain.
• Clean malpractice and medical license history (highly preferred).
• Must be willing to relocate if not currently residing in the area.
• DEA must be obtained prior to start.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.

• DEA license (must be procured prior to commencement).
