The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Carilion Clinic and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, headquartered in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a full-time Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology to meet its growing needs at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 763-bed academic/tertiary care hospital with Virginia State-designated Level 1 Trauma Center and Level III Nursery serving nearly one million people throughout southwestern Virginia.

The faculty member will have a full spectrum general obstetric and gynecologic practice in a community-based academic environment and join a group of 19 other OB/GYN physicians and 9 Advanced Clinical Practitioners. The candidate must have excellent clinical skills and enthusiasm for medical education of residents and students. Candidates must be an MD or DO and be board-certified or be an active candidate for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in Virginia. A faculty appointment, commensurable with experience, is available at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
