• Virginia Special Education Teaching License (preferred) or license eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Safety-Care Certification (Training provided).
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License, proof of insurance, satisfactory Driving Record (less than 5 demerit points).

• Create and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Administer formal and informal assessments to measure student growth and mastery and refine instruction.
• Differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Identify academically at risk students and initiate intervention strategies.
• Participate actively in professional development.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and classroom behavior rules.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Attend and participate in Community School Committee and Advisory Committee meetings.
