We serve students aged 5 to 22 who need additional support to succeed academically and socially across Virginia.
Minimum Education , Training, Requirements, and Prerequisites- Virginia Special Education Teaching License
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to work year-round with scheduled breaks
- Safety-Care Certification (training provided)
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and a satisfactory driving record (less than 5 demerit points)
- Create and implement weekly lesson plans
- Administer assessments to monitor student progress and refine instruction
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual needs
- Identify at-risk students and implement intervention strategies
- Participate in professional development
- Help enforce school policies and develop classroom rules
- Maintain accurate records as required by law and policies
- Attend Community School and Advisory Committee meetings
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
